We received this wonderful letter from Kai Moessle of Little Falls, New York. He says: “I am writing to let you know how happy I am with the performance and durability of your grain mill. I bought mine directly from you as a “scratch and dent” special in 2008. I have yet to find the blemish in the finish. After 13 years I am still using the original grinding plates and have not noticed any decrease in flour quality or grinding speed. I use an average of 100 lbs. of…

We received a letter from one of our wonderful customers who has owned the mill for 18 months and uses it almost daily to hand grind her wheat. Malissa writes: “We had known about this mill for about two years. And we were so desperate. We had to get something. Our common emergency mill was not suitable for long-term use for fine flour. We were stumped. (We were, at one point, buying whole wheat flour.)” Then, after purchasing the Country Living Grain Mill, Malissa continues, “Words cannot describe how this…

Keith and Tana Hanlon sent us the following letter and photos about how they motorized their Country Living using a tool they already had on hand: “Hello All, Just want to say how much we enjoy using your mill. We turn out anywhere from 8 to 12 cups of flour weekly. Good exercise to say the least. but alas, I tired of turning it by hand and decided to add a motor. After much research, I found I did not know enough about electric motors, and using a drill seemed…

Excerpt from Country Living Grain Mill Review – Walden Labs “The benefits of grinding your own grains are many, one benefit being that you avoid the highly processed and refined flour that you buy in the store. That stuff is dead! Whole grain flour is healthier, plus whole grains store much longer than flour. While you could grind your own flour with just stones you’ll want a proper grain mill to do it effectively, for example the Country Living Grain Mill. The Country Living Grain Mill is one of the…

Hello Mr. Jenkins, You kindly brought one of your mills to the Grain Gathering at WSU-Mount Vernon in August, where I picked it up. Since then the mill has been out in the shop where my husband has been working on motorizing the mill and making a cart, so the mill can be portable. He worked very hard on this project, during his spare time! I wanted to write and let you know how much I am enjoying the mill, and to send some pictures of what my husband built…

We received the following note from a Country Living Mill owner: “Love our mill. My father (90 years old) has adopted it — He’d grind flour every day I think! We really do love it. Here’s a picture from one week in January, so you can see what we’re doing. All sourdough, no added yeast, fresh ground white wheat and rye flours.” -Metra Christofferson

Dear staff at Country Living, My husband and I ordered the Country Living Grain Mill on the afternoon of July 13th and by 2pm on the 15th, received our order. We didn’t try the grain mill until a week later. We ground some hard red winter wheat on the fine setting (pastry flour texture) and I made and baked some of the best biscuits ever! They tasted so good! Nothing like homemade goods. Thank you for a well-made product. We are well pleased and hope to get many, many good years…

Hi! Just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how very much I am enjoying my Country Living Grain Mill. IT IS AWESOME !! I am blown away by how fast and easily it works. So far I have used it for wheat and corn and could not be more pleased. The bread I’ve baked is so tasty, and here in this part of the country with fresh okra and squash coming out of the gardens we do a lot of frying after dredging in cornmeal. Oh my…
