
Whole Wheat Waffles
2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 tablespoon sugar
2 beaten eggs
2 1/4 cups milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Pour mixture on waffle griddle.
Waffles without Baking Powder
2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups milk
2 eggs
1/3 cup cooking oil
Sift together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add the milk, eggs, and oil and mix well. Cover with a cloth and refrigerate overnight.
In the morning stir the waffle batter and pour the mixture onto the griddle.
